Member of board Yalın Yüregil spoke in “European Union and Turkey Relations” seminar hosted by Eurocentrum Prague on 23th of February.
Prague, Czech Republic – 24 February 2017 – On 23th of February, Eurocentrum Prague hosted a seminar on “EU and Turkey – New challenges for old partnership” at Eurocentre Prague The seminar moderated by the deputy director for regional Eurocenter Vít Nejedlo. Speakers of seminar were head of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at the Metropolitan University in Prague Břetislav Tureček and former Czech Ambassador in Turkey Tomáš Laně and member of board of Czech-Turkish Joint Chamber of Commerce Yalın Yüregil.
In the seminar, while Mr. Lane focused on recent history of Turkey, Mr. Tureček focused on the changes in situation in Turkey after a failed coup attempt, Turkey’s relations with the EU, regional importance of Turkey, policy on Syrian refugees, the possibilities and the interests of the Czech Republic. Mr. Yüregil spoke on the current status of Turkey-EU relations from the business perspective and the future scenarios. Mr. Yüregil mentioned that history and the future of both parties can not be discussed without each other. And, the future of Turkey shall be in parallel with the European values. There is more room to grow the business relations between the parties.
